OUR POLICIES

Reservation Policy

  • Check-In Time: 3:00 PM   Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM 

  • Sandos is an all-inclusive resort. The room fee is separate from the all-inclusive fee and both are required.

  • Early check-in and or late check-out is subject to availability on the day of. This can be confirmed with the  vip concierge office located in the hotel.

  • For Peak Season, certain minimum nights are required. The definition of the Peak Season period will be determined by a unilateral decision of the Hotel Management. 

  • Late checkout may be subject to an additional fee.

  • It is mandatory for all guests to produce a valid identity document upon check-in; for foreign and domestic guests, a valid passport shall be accepted as proof of identity. 

  • The primary reservation holder must be least least 18 years of age to check-in. 

  • Upon check-in, all guests must register through the VIP Concierge and settle the remainder/full payment of the mandatory resort fees (all-inclusive package).

  • Please note that any change in the guest’s reservation may change the rate and/or require payment of cancellation/alteration/upgrade fees. 

  • All bed layouts and views are subject to availability; however, we can add all requests in the request form when sending your reservation to the resort. They will do their very best to accommodate these requests.

  • Availability is not guaranteed until we receive the confirmation. Once we have your confirmation, your dates and room category are locked in and no refund for the room shall be granted but alteration may be possible depending on the resort’s availability and discretion.

  • All guests who check in at the Sandos Finisterra will be asked to pay the ecotax equivalent to $33.68 MXN per room per night. This fee can be paid either in cash or by credit card.

  • All guests who check in at the Sandos Cancun, Sandos Caracol Eco Resort, Sandos Playacar and Palmaïa: The House of Aïa hotel will be asked to pay the ecotax equivalent to $26.86 Mexican pesos per room per night. This fee can be paid either in cash or by credit card.

  • Attending a timeshare presentation is not mandatory but we highly encourage guests to take part to learn more about the benefits of ownership and to explore the best packages and deals suited for your vacation needs.  

  • To protect the health and comfort of customers of Sandos, No Smoking or other use of tobacco products are allowed inside the accommodation but there are designated areas in the complex where you may smoke during your stay. Any committed violations may lead to penalty. 

Deposit and Payment Policy 

  • A full payment for the room is required before processing your reservation and it is done thru VIP TRIPS DIRECT’s mode of payment. 

  • Every guest who wants to make a reservation at Sandos Resorts has to make a deposit of 15% of the all-inclusive fee prior to arrival to secure the reservation with the resort. The deposit can only be paid by credit card thru a secured payment link provided by Sandos.

  • The rest of the amount shall be charged to the credit card on your arrival at Sandos Resort. 

  • During check-in, all guests will be asked for a credit card to make a hold for the amount of 5,000 MXN. This will be done to accommodate any possible incidents. During check-out, the amount held will be returned to the guest's account.

  • Upon arrival, payments may be done using major credit cards or cash, both are accepted by the resort. 

Cancellation Policy and No-Show Policy

  • Once the confirmation is processed, no refund for the room fee shall be granted however an alteration to a later date may be possible depending on the resort’s availability and discretion.

  • In case of extenuating circumstances, an alteration may be granted depending on the resort’s availability.

  • If canceled at least 14 days prior to the arrival date - 15% security deposit refund for the all-inclusive package shall be granted and may take up to 4 months to get credited back to your account.

  • Rooms not occupied by 22:00 hours will be seen as a No-Show unless a prior arrangement has been made and the full amount of the all-inclusive package shall still be honored. 

  • In cases of No-Show, security deposits and room payments are non-refundable.

We may collect personal information to the extent necessary in the following cases:

  • When making inquiries to us and for marketing purposes.

  • When making your reservation to the resort and other services related to your stay.
